• Struck by the United States Mint in 90% silver from the time of its inception in 1948 until it was eventually replaced by the Kennedy half dollar beginning in 1964
• The 1962 Proof coin comes from the annual Proof Set struck at the Philadelphia Mint. NGC grades of 69 are only a fraction of the total coins graded. There are a few 69 coins, but no 70 coins are known to exist. This presentation quality coin comes in blast white.
