She is holding a torch of knowledge and an olive branch of peace and the rising sun in the background symbolizes the hope brought forward with each new day. The U.S. Capitol building can be seen at about the 7 o’clock position and the design is surrounded by 50 stars to represent the 50 states
Reverse:	features a portrayal of an eagle. Inscriptions are “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” “5 DOLLARS,” and “1/10 OZ. FINE GOLD”
